The Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) pattern, originally made by McKee Glass Company, was later made by L. E. Smith in one of their American Heritage Collection patterns.
The footed, cupped, crystal bowl is featured on page 180 of a book entitled L. E. Smith Glass Company: The First One Hundred Years, by Tom Felt. Then on Plate 442 (pg. 175), the bowl is in light aqua color (mine is crystal) and the author writes, "The mold for this piece was originally from the McKee Glass Company's Fentec pattern."
This hand made, 3-part mold, crystal bowl is very heavy and features panels of flowers alternating with panels star-burst buttons and stars with a sawtooth rim.
Maker / Marks:
7 1/2" in diameter by 4" tall.
Excellent Condition with slight manufacturing flaws on one flower. Otherwise, the bowl is perfect.
If you collect EAPG this is a very nice bowl and is hand made too.
